Small groups of neighborhood children visit participating South End businesses for intimate science and discovery demonstrations — learning about the world by experiencing it on their own block.
Participate as a BusinessSTEM Day is not a science fair. It is not a school program. It is something smaller, warmer, and more memorable: a child walks into a business they have passed a hundred times, and learns something about how the world works inside it.
We bring children into participating South End businesses in very small groups — typically 2 to 3 children at a time. Each business hosts a brief demonstration, experiment, or discovery activity tied to their work.
A dentist explains how teeth work. A restaurant shows food science. A bank introduces how interest grows. A pediatric office walks through what doctors look for. A dog groomer talks about animal care. Every business has a STEM story.
STEM Day is in development. If you're an Orange Road business interested in participating — or a parent or school who wants to bring children — reach out to get involved.
