When you submit material to us, such as a business listing or a vendor application, you confirm that you have the right to share it and you give us permission to display it in connection with the district and its events.
Third party links
The site links to business websites, social media, mapping services, and other outside resources. We do not control those sites and we are not responsible for their content, their accuracy, or their privacy practices. Following an external link is at your own discretion.
Event information
We publish event dates, times, locations, and programming in good faith. Details can change, and some listings describe events organised by other people. Please confirm details with the organiser before making plans that depend on them.
FAME Festival applications
Applying to participate in FAME is free. We do not charge an application fee, and no payment is collected through this website.
Submitting an application does not guarantee participation. Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis by the South End Business Association, and we consider factors such as category balance, available space, and the information you provide.
Vendors are responsible for obtaining the required Township permit. After you submit your FAME vendor application, you will receive an email explaining how to apply for the appropriate permit with the Township. Completing the FAME application does not replace that process.
Vendor responsibilities
If your application is approved, you agree to:
- Operate only within the space assigned to you.
- Follow setup, breakdown, and safety instructions from the organisers.
- Hold any licences, permits, or insurance that apply to what you sell or serve.
- Leave your space clean and clear at the end of the festival.
- Sell or display only what you described in your application.
Permits and regulatory compliance
A Township vendor permit is required to operate at the festival. That permit is issued by the Township of Montclair, not by the South End Business District, and it is separate from your FAME application.
You are responsible for applying for the permit, for meeting the Township's requirements, and for any fees the Township may charge. We will send you information about how to start that process once your FAME application is submitted. Requirements applicable to your specific goods or services, such as food handling rules, are also your responsibility.
Accuracy of application information
You confirm that the information in your application is accurate and complete. If something changes after you apply, such as your contact details or what you plan to sell, please tell us. Applications containing materially inaccurate information may be declined or withdrawn.
Communications
When you submit a form or create an account, you agree that we may contact you by email about that submission. This includes confirmations, permit instructions, application updates, and practical information about events you applied to.
Newsletter subscriptions are separate and optional, and you can unsubscribe at any time. Service messages that relate directly to something you submitted are not marketing and will continue while your submission is active.
Event changes or cancellation
Festival dates, hours, layout, and programming may change. An event may be delayed, shortened, relocated, or cancelled because of weather, public safety, permitting, or other circumstances outside our control. We will communicate changes as early as we reasonably can, and we are not responsible for costs you incur in anticipation of an event.
Photography and media
Our events are held in public spaces and are photographed and filmed. By attending or participating you understand that you may appear in photographs or video, and that this material may be used to document and promote the district and its events. If you would prefer not to appear in material we publish, contact us and we will do our best to accommodate you.
Limitation of liability
This website is provided as it is. We work to keep information accurate and current, but we do not guarantee that it is free of errors or always available.
The South End Business District operates this site and organises district events. We are not responsible for the products, services, conduct, or business practices of the businesses listed in the directory or of the vendors who participate in our events. To the extent the law allows, our liability in connection with the site and with event participation is limited.
Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law.
Suspension and removal
We may suspend an account, remove a directory listing, or decline or withdraw an application if these terms are not followed, if information provided is inaccurate, or if conduct puts other participants or the public at risk. Where it is practical to do so, we will explain the reason.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms as the site and our events develop. The version and date at the top of this page always reflect the current terms. Significant changes affecting accounts or event participation will be communicated by email or on the site. Continuing to use the site after an update means you accept the revised terms.
